Cascara is a true workhorse shrub with a place in nearly every backyard habitat. On the land, Cascara is an adaptable generalist: streambanks, savannahs, and forest edges are all suitable habitat. Cascara is also a fervent wildlife supporter - early sping flowers are popular with bees and hummingbirds, while foliage and late season berries provide year round forage for birds (especially woodpeckers!) and insects. Late Fall color from Cascara is also a sight to behold, which may persist well into winter under the right conditions.
